Dear students,

​We present to you today a project that was so important to us: that of establishing in Haiti a modern university capable of creating new knowledge and mobilizing all the resources and skills available for a real change in the Haitian social sphere. This dream is now a reality. We desire to train hundreds who will teach thousands to reach millions to change a country and ultimately, the world.

​For this, our teachers have had to question themselves, to review the design of their courses. They courageously adapted their lessons while substantial financial efforts were invested in parallel in state-of-the-art equipment intended to capture, record and rebroadcast these lessons in favor of students scattered throughout the territory of the Republic of Haiti and abroard.

​A university is certainly a lot of quality education and pedagogy. It is also a huge amount of scientific research. Much of this research has undeniable scientific impact. And the quality and relevance of some are already recognized internationally. This is what we bring to you at UNA-HAITI.

UNA promises to be a university attentive to the needs of its region and the population in order to allow our students to benefit from easy access to university education, to take advantage of this social and societal lift that our university offers.

Here is an inclusive Christian University, regardless of social class and faith. Indeed I share the firm conviction that the social function of the University and the academic is not only to seek and dispense knowledge, but also to work so that the society in which it is inserted is humanized and become the best place to be.
